BRAKE SYSTEM

~1min read

Your vehicle is equipped with a dual hydraulic brake system. If either of the two hydraulic systems loses normal function, the remaining system continues to operate. There will be some loss of overall braking effectiveness. This may be noticed as increased pedal travel during application, greater pedal force required to decelerate, and possible illumination of the brake system warning lamp.

If the brake booster is disabled for any reason (for example, repeated brake applications with the engine off), the brakes continue to work. The force required to stop the vehicle will be much greater than required with the power assist operational.
