High/Low Beam Switch, Automatic High Beam — if equipped
High/Low Beam Switch
Push the multifunction lever toward the instrument panel to select high beams. Pull the multifunction lever back to select low beams.
Automatic High Beam — if equipped
The Automatic High Beam system provides improved forward lighting at night by automatically controlling the high beams using a digital camera mounted on the inside rearview mirror. This camera detects the light characteristic of vehicles and automatically switches from high beams to low beams until the oncoming vehicle is no longer in view.
NOTE:
- The automatic high beam control can be turned on or off by selecting or deselecting "Automatic High Beam" in the Uconnect settings, and by turning the headlight switch to the AUTO position.
- Broken, dirty, or obstructed headlights and taillights of vehicles in view will cause the high beams to remain on longer (closer to the vehicle). In addition, dirt, film, and other obstructions on the windshield or camera lens will cause the system to malfunction.
- If the windshield or the Automatic High Beam mirror is replaced, the camera must be re-aimed to ensure proper system operation. Refer to an authorized dealer.
Flash-To-Pass
You can flash the headlights to signal another vehicle by lightly pulling the multifunction lever toward you. The high beams will turn on and remain on until the lever is released.
