Comfort Remote Start Systems — If Equipped

When Remote Start is activated, the front and rear defrosters will automatically turn on in cold weather. The heated steering wheel and driver's heated seat will turn on if selected on the Comfort menu screen in the Uconnect Settings. Refer to Uconnect 138. In warm weather, the driver's seat ventilation will turn on automatically when Remote Start is activated, if programmed on the Comfort menu screen. The vehicle will adjust the climate control settings based on the outside air temperature.

Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) — If Equipped

The climate control will automatically be set to the optimal temperature and mode settings based on the outside air temperature. This will continue until the ignition is placed in the ON/RUN position, at which time the climate control will return to its previous settings.

Manual Temperature Control (MTC) — If Equipped

• When the outside air temperature is 40°F (4.5°C) or below, the default climate settings are maximum heat with fresh air entering the cabin. If the front defrost timer expires, the vehicle will switch to bi-level mode.
• When the outside air temperature is between 40°F (4.5°C) and 78°F (26°C), the climate control settings will be based on the last settings selected by the driver.
• When the outside air temperature is 78°F (26°C) or above, the default climate settings are MAX A/C, bi-level mode with recirculation on.

NOTE:

These features will remain on for the entire duration of Remote Start until the ignition is placed in the ON/RUN position. The climate control settings will change if manually adjusted by the driver while the vehicle is in Remote Start mode, and will exit the automatic override. This includes pressing the OFF button on the climate control, which turns the system off.

Remote Start Wiper De-Icer Activation — If Equipped

When Remote Start is active and the outside air temperature is below 33°F (0.6°C), the wiper de-icer will activate. Upon exiting Remote Start, the system will resume its previous operation. If the wiper de-icer was active, the timer and operation will continue.
