Starting and Stopping the Engine

General Information

~1min read

If you disconnect the battery, your vehicle may exhibit unusual driving characteristics for approximately 5 miles (8 km) after reconnecting. This is because the powertrain control module must relearn engine parameters. You may ignore any unusual driving characteristics during this period.

The powertrain control system complies with all Canadian Interference-Causing Equipment Standards regulating electrical pulse fields or radio interference.

When starting the engine, do not press the accelerator pedal before or during operation. Use the accelerator pedal only if you have difficulty starting the engine.
