The system applies the brakes to individual wheels and reduces engine torque to help stabilize the vehicle. If the trailer begins to sway, the Stability Control system warning lamp flashes and a message appears in the information display. See Information Messages. Reduce vehicle speed, safely pull over to the side of the road, and check that the load is distributed correctly. See Loading.

You can turn this feature off in the information display. When you switch the ignition on, the system turns on automatically.
