Inspection

  1. Check the body to luggage compartment lid dimensions.
    Refer to: Body and Frame (501-26 Body Repairs - Vehicle Specific Information and Tolerance Checks, Description and Operation).

Adjustment

  1. Remove the push-pin clips and the luggage compartment lid trim panel.
  2. Loosen the bolts enough to allow the luggage compartment lid to move.
    Loosen: 2 turns
  3. Adjust the luggage compartment lid to specification.
    Refer to: Body and Frame (501-26 Body Repairs - Vehicle Specific Information and Tolerance Checks, Description and Operation).
  4. Tighten the bolts.
    Torque: 97 lb-in (11 N·m)
  5. Check the luggage compartment lid for conformance to body specifications.
    Refer to: Body and Frame (501-26 Body Repairs - Vehicle Specific Information and Tolerance Checks, Description and Operation).
  6. Install the luggage compartment lid trim panel and the pin-type retainers.
