Front Seat Removal and Installation

Removal

1. 1
   Turn the ignition OFF and wait at least one minute.

   1. Slide the seat forward to access the rear seat bolts.

   2. Remove the seat bolt.

   3. Remove the seat bolt.

   Move the front seat to the full rearward position.

   If a side airbag SRS fault is present, disable the SRS power.
   Refer to: Disabling and Enabling the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) (501-20B Supplemental Restraint System, General Procedures).

   Remove the front seat bolt covers.

   Remove the front seat bolts.

   Remove the front seat.
   

   1. Disconnect the wiring harness electrical connector.

   2. If equipped.
      Disconnect the seat heater electrical connector.

   

Installation

1. 1
   Install the front seat and tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.
   Torque: 35 lb-ft (48 N·m)

   Install the front seat bolt covers.

   1. Connect the wiring harness electrical connector.

   2. If equipped.
      Connect the heated seat wiring harness electrical connector.

   If the SRS was disabled, enable the SRS.
   Refer to: Disabling and Enabling the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) (501-20B Supplemental Restraint System, General Procedures).
5. 5
   Slide the seat forward to access the rear seat bolts and tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.
   Torque: 35 lb-ft (48 N·m)
