310-D009 (D95L-7211-A) Fuel Pressure Test Kit

Check

1. 1
   Refer to: Gasoline and Gasoline-Ethanol Fuel System Safety Precautions (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).

   Release the fuel system pressure.
   Refer to: Fuel System Pressure Release (310-00A Fuel System — General Information — 1.5 L EcoBoost (118 kW/160 L PS) — I4, General Procedures).

   Disconnect the battery ground cable.
   Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

   Remove the engine cover.

   Disconnect the fuel tank feed tube from the high-pressure fuel pump quick-connect fitting.
   Refer to: Quick-Connect Coupling (310-00A Fuel System - General Information - 1.5 L EcoBoost (118 kW/160 L PS) - I4, General Procedures).

   Install the fuel pressure test kit between the fuel feed pipe and the fuel tube.
   Use Special Service Tool: 310-D009 (D95L-7211-A) Fuel Pressure Test Kit.

   Connect the FPDM electrical connector.

   Connect the battery ground cable.

   Check the fuel system pressure to make sure it is within the specified range. For additional information, refer to Specifications in this section.
