Puller

Removal

1. 1
   Remove the RH axle shaft.
   Refer to: RH Front Axle Shaft (205-04 Front Axle Shafts, Removal and Installation).

   Using a puller, remove and discard the intermediate shaft seal.
   Use the common equipment: Puller

   

3. 3
   Inspect the intermediate shaft bushing. Replace if necessary.
   Refer to: Intermediate Shaft Bushing (308-07B Power Transfer Unit - 6-Speed Automatic Transmission - 6F35, Removal and Installation).

   

Installation

1. 1
   Using the special tools, install the new intermediate shaft seal.
   Use the special service tools: 307-256 (T92P-77000-FH) Installer, Differential Fluid Seal; 205-907 Handle, 32 Driver.

   

2. 2
   Install the RH axle shaft.
   Refer to: RH Front Axle Shaft (205-04 Front Axle Shafts, Removal and Installation).
