Power Transfer Unit. Installation

Install the PTU.

Install the new PTU upper bolts.
Torque: 59 lb-ft (80 N·m)

Install the new PTU lower bolts.
Torque: 59 lb-ft (80 N·m)

Install the PTU support bracket and support bracket bolts.
Torque:
1: 18 lb-ft (25 N·m)
2: 46 lb-ft (63 N·m)

Connect the PTU vent hose.

Install the right front axle shaft.
Refer to: Right Front Axle Shaft (205-04 Front Axle Shafts, Removal and Installation).

Install the PTU heat shield and heat shield bolts.
Torque: 97 lb-in (11 N·m)

Install the catalytic converter.

• Install the CAC intake tube and the clamps and retainers.

• Install the CAC outlet tube and clamp.

Remove the PTU fill plug.

Fill the PTU with clean fluid to the level of the fill plug.

Install the PTU fill plug.
Torque: 33 lb-ft (45 N·m)

Install the rear driveshaft.
Refer to: Rear Driveshaft (205-01 Driveshaft, Removal and Installation).

If equipped.
Install the underbody shield.
