Alarm System

WARNING

Do not arm the alarm in full protection mode if passengers, animals or loose objects are inside the vehicle.

Perimeter Alarm

The perimeter alarm deters unauthorized access to your vehicle through the doors and hood. It also protects the audio system.

Interior Sensors

The interior light sensors are located on the overhead console.

Note: Do not cover the interior light sensors.

The sensors act as an intrusion deterrent by detecting any movement inside your vehicle.

Alarm triggering

Once armed, the alarm is triggered in the following cases:

  • If someone opens a door, the tailgate or the hood without using a valid key or the remote control.
  • If someone removes the radio or the navigation system.
  • If your vehicle is started without a correctly coded key.
  • If the interior sensors detect movement inside your vehicle.

If the alarm is triggered, the siren sounds for 30 seconds and the hazard lights flash for 5 minutes.

Any further attempt to carry out one of the above operations will trigger the alarm again.
