Condition Possible causes
I cannot create a MyKey.
  • The key or remote used to start the vehicle does not have administrator privileges.
  • The key or remote used to start the vehicle is the only Admin key (there must always be at least one Admin key).
  • Vehicles with keyless start: the keyless start remote is not in the backup slot, which is located on the center console. See General Information.
  • The Securilock passive anti-theft system is disabled or in unlimited mode.
I cannot program the configurable settings.
  • The key or remote used to start your vehicle does not have administrator privileges.
  • No MyKey has been created. See Creating a MyKey.
I cannot clear the MyKeys.
  • The key or remote used to start your vehicle does not have administrator privileges.
  • No MyKey has been created. See Creating a MyKey.
I have lost the only Admin key. Buy a new key from an authorized dealer.
I have lost a key. Program a spare key. See Passive Anti-Theft System.
The MyKey mileage does not increase.
  • The MyKey user is not using the MyKey.
  • An Admin key user has cleared the MyKeys and programmed new ones.
  • The key system has been reset.
No MyKey function with the keyless entry remote.
  • An Admin remote is present when the vehicle is started.
  • No MyKey has been created. See Creating a MyKey.
