The high-voltage disconnect cuts power from the high-voltage battery after a collision or when your vehicle sustains a severe impact.

In either of these cases, follow the steps below to restart your vehicle:

  1. Switch off the ignition.
  2. Switch on the ignition.
  3. If your vehicle still does not start, repeat steps 1 and 2 up to two more times.

For vehicles equipped with a push-button start/stop system:

  1. Press the START/STOP button to switch off the ignition.
  2. Press the brake pedal and press the START/STOP button.
  3. If your vehicle still does not start, repeat steps 1 and 2 up to two more times.

Note: during this procedure, your vehicle checks that the electrical system is safe before restarting. When your vehicle determines that the electrical system is safe, you can start your vehicle normally by turning the key or pressing the brake pedal, then pressing the START/STOP button. Note: if your vehicle does not restart after the third key cycle, contact an authorised dealer.
