Floor mats

~2min read

WARNINGS

  • Always use floor mats designed to fit the floor of your vehicle. Only use floor mats that leave the pedal area clear. Only use floor mats that are correctly secured to the floor mat anchor pins so that they cannot move and affect pedal operation or the safe operation of your vehicle in any other way.
  • Pedals that cannot move freely may cause loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of serious injury.
  • Always make sure the floor mats are correctly secured to the floor mat anchor pins in the carpet, supplied with your vehicle. The floor mats must be properly held by both anchor pins to ensure that they will not move.
  • Never place a floor mat or any other covering in your vehicle that cannot be properly secured, to prevent it from moving and interfering with the pedals or affecting your control of the vehicle.
  • Never place a floor mat or any other covering on top of floor mats that are already installed.
Floor mats must rest on the vehicle's floor carpet/mat and not on another floor mat or other covering. Additional floor mats (or any other additional covering) reduce pedal clearance and may affect pedal operation.
  • Check regularly that the floor mats are securely fastened. Always be sure to properly reposition and secure floor mats that have been removed for cleaning or replacement.
  • Always make sure that no object can fall onto the driver's footwell while the vehicle is moving. An unsecured object may become trapped under the pedals, causing loss of vehicle control.
  • Failure to follow the floor mat installation or securing instructions may interfere with pedal operation, causing loss of vehicle control.
