Cruise Control. System Operation

~1min read

Cruise control allows the vehicle to maintain a speed of about 40 km/h or more without keeping your foot on the accelerator pedal. Cruise control does not operate below 40 km/h.

Traction Control System (TCS) or StabiliTrak/Electronic Stability Control (ESC) may begin to limit wheel spin while you are using Cruise Control. If this happens, Cruise Control will automatically disengage. See Traction Control/Electronic Stability Control. If a Forward Collision Alert occurs while Cruise Control is active, Cruise Control is disengaged. See Forward Collision Alert (FCA) System. When road conditions allow it to be used safely again, Cruise Control may be turned back on.

Cruise Control will disengage if either TCS or StabiliTrak/ESC is turned off.

If Hill Descent Control (HDC) is turned on, Cruise Control will disengage. See Hill Descent Control (HDC).

If the brakes are applied, Cruise Control disengages.
