Adaptive Cruise Control
Adaptive Cruise Control (if equipped) (ACC) allows you to set a Cruise Control speed and a following distance to be selected. Read this entire section before using this system. The following distance is the time between your vehicle and the vehicle detected directly ahead in your path, traveling in the same direction. If no vehicle is detected in your path, ACC operates as normal Cruise Control. ACC uses the windshield-mounted front camera sensor.
If a vehicle is detected in your path, ACC may apply acceleration or limited, moderate braking to maintain the selected following distance.
To disengage ACC, press the brake pedal. If ACC is controlling vehicle speed when the Traction Control System (TCS) or StabiliTrak/Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system activates, ACC may automatically disengage. See Traction Control/Electronic Stability Control. When road conditions allow ACC to be used safely, ACC can be turned on again. Turning off TCS or StabiliTrak/ESC will disengage and prevent ACC from being turned on.
ACC may reduce the need to frequently brake and accelerate, especially when used on highways, freeways, and interstates. When used on other roads, you may need to take over braking or accelerating more often.
- On winding or hilly roads, or when the camera sensor is blocked by snow, ice, or dirt. The system may not detect a vehicle ahead. Keep the windshield and headlamps clean.
- Visibility is poor due to rain, snow, fog, dirt, insect residue, or dust; when other foreign objects block the camera's view; or when a vehicle ahead or oncoming traffic causes additional environmental obstructions, such as road spray. ACC performance is limited under these conditions.
- On slippery roads, where rapid changes in tire traction may cause excessive wheel spin.
- With very heavy loads in the cargo area or on the rear seat.
- When towing a trailer.

: Press to turn the system on or off. The indicator turns white on the instrument cluster when ACC is turned on.
RES+ : Briefly press to resume the previous set speed or increase vehicle speed if ACC is already active. To increase speed by approximately 1 km/h, briefly press RES+. To increase speed to the next 5 km/h mark on the speedometer, press and hold RES+.
SET– : Briefly press to set the speed and activate ACC, or decrease vehicle speed if ACC is already active. To decrease speed by approximately 1 km/h, briefly press SET–. To decrease speed to the next 5 km/h mark on the speedometer, press and hold SET–.
: Press to disengage ACC without erasing the selected set speed.
: Press to select the following distance setting for ACC: Far, Middle, or Near.
The speedometer readout can be displayed either in English or in metric units of measurement.
See Instrument Cluster (base and middle level) or Cluster (top level). The increment value used depends on the units displayed.
Switching Between ACC and Regular Cruise Control
To switch between ACC and regular cruise control, press and hold
. A message is displayed on the Driver Information Center (DIC). See Vehicle Messages.

When ACC is on, the green
indicator light on the instrument cluster will illuminate and the following distance will be displayed. When regular cruise control is on, the green
