Use the same cleaning products for aluminum wheels as for the vehicle body. Wash the wheels with the same product as the body and rinse them thoroughly with clean water.

Aluminum alloy wheels are covered with a clear protective coating that protects the wheel material from oxidation and helps retain the shine. Use of stiff brushes, aggressive solvents and even some wheel cleaning products may damage this protective and decorative coating. To wash and clean aluminum wheels, use only neutral cleaning agents, soft-bristle brushes or a sponge.
