Identification Numbers

Your vehicle has several plates with identification numbers.

1. The frame number is stamped on the engine compartment partition.

2. The engine number is stamped on the cylinder block.

3. The transmission number plate is attached to the top of the transmission case.

Do not confuse the transmission number with the engine number.

The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) (frame number) is stamped on the engine compartment partition. To access this number, slide the cover located at the rear of the engine compartment. Before closing the hood, check that the cover is closed.

The frame and engine numbers are also duplicated on a plate located in the driver's door opening.

The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) (frame number) is also located on a plate attached to the upper part of the instrument panel.
