Replacement
  • Wear gloves to avoid cutting your hands.
  • When removing with a flat-blade screwdriver or removal tool, wrap the tools with protective tape to prevent damage to components.
  • When removing interior trim components, use a plastic panel removal tool to avoid damaging the surface.
  • Be careful not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
  1. Remove the front door sill trim. (Refer to Interior Trim - "Door Scuff Trim")
  2. Remove the hood latch release handle. (Refer to Hood - "Hood Latch Handle")
  3. Carefully remove the front door side weatherstrip.
  4. Using a screwdriver or removal tool, remove the hood side trim (A).
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
