1. Apply the specified grease to the contact surfaces of the release bearing with the clutch release fork and the contact surfaces of the clutch release fork assembly with the pushrod of the clutch hydraulic slave cylinder.

Recommended grease: CASMOLY L9508

Be careful not to apply excessive grease to each part when installing the clutch. Excess grease may cause clutch slipping and jerking of the vehicle when the clutch is engaged at the start of movement.

2. Apply the specified grease to the groove on the inner surface of the release bearing.

Recommended grease: CASMOLY L9508

3. Apply the specified grease to the contact surface of the clutch release fork with the pivot point of the clutch release fork lever.

Recommended grease: CASMOLY L9508 4. Clean the flywheel and clutch cover pressure plate working surfaces with sandpaper or fine abrasive cloth. Make sure oil and grease are completely removed from these surfaces.

5. Apply a small amount of the specified grease to the clutch disc hub splines and the transmission input shaft splines.

Recommended grease: CASMOLY L9508

Do not apply excessive grease. Excess grease may cause clutch slipping and jerking of the vehicle when the clutch is engaged at the start of movement.

6. Using the special tool (guide 09411-25000), install the clutch disc on the flywheel. When installing the clutch disc, make sure the side with the stamped manufacturer's mark faces the pressure plate.

7. Install the clutch cover assembly on the flywheel, install six (6) clutch cover mounting bolts, and tighten the six bolts by hand.

8. Tighten the clutch cover mounting bolts to the specified torque in a diagonal sequence in several steps.

Tightening Torque:

Clutch cover mounting bolts: 15 - 22 N·m Tighten the mounting bolts no more than one or two turns at a time to prevent distortion of the clutch cover flange.

9. Remove the special tool.

10. Install the transmission. (Refer to "Manual Transmission Assembly".)
