Front Seat Head Restraints

Both the driver's and passenger's seats are equipped with adjustable head restraints for safety and comfort.

Up and Down Height Adjustment

To raise the head restraint:

1. Pull up to the desired position (1).

To lower the head restraint:

1. Press and hold the release button (2) on the head restraint support.

2. Lower the head restraint to the desired position (3).

Forward and Backward Adjustment

The head restraint can be adjusted forward to 3 different positions by pulling the head restraint forward to the desired lock position. To adjust the head restraint to the farthest rear position, pull it fully forward to the farthest position and release it.

NOTICE

If the seatback is folded forward with the head restraint and seat cushion raised, the head restraint may contact the sun visor or other parts of the vehicle.

Removal/Installation

To remove the head restraint:

1. Fold the seatback (2) rearward using the seatback recline lever (1).

2. Raise the head restraint as far as it will go.

3. Press the head restraint release button (3) and pull the head restraint up (4).

WARNING

NEVER allow anyone to ride in a seat with the head restraint removed.

To reinstall the head restraint:

1. Insert the head restraint posts (2) into the holes while pressing the release button (1).

2. Adjust the head restraint to the appropriate height.

3. Adjust the seatback (4) forward using the seatback recline lever (3).

WARNING

Always make sure the head restraint is locked in this position after installation and adjust it properly.
