Replacement

  1. Remove the front bumper. (Refer to Front Bumper - "Front Bumper Cover")
  2. Remove the Active Air Flap (AAF). (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Active Air Flap (AAF)")
  3. Disconnect the connector (A), then remove the wire clip.
  4. Remove the hood latch mounting bolts (A) and the pin clips.
  5. Disconnect the hood latch cable (A) and remove the lower hood latch assembly (B).
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
    • Make sure the hood latch release cable is connected properly.
    • Make sure the hood latches/unlatches and opens/closes properly.
    • If necessary, adjust the latch.
    • Replace all damaged clips.
