Headrest
The driver's and front passenger's seats are equipped with head restraints for comfort and safety while driving.
The head restraint not only provides comfort for the driver and passenger, but also protects the head and neck in a collision.
WARNING To reduce the risk of serious injury or death in a crash, observe the following precautions when adjusting the head restraint: - Always adjust the head restraints correctly for all passengers BEFORE driving the vehicle. - NEVER allow anyone to ride without a head restraint. - Adjust the head restraints so that the center is at the same height as the eyes (see illustration).
- NEVER adjust the driver's seat head restraint while the vehicle is moving. - Also, adjust the head restraint as close as possible to the occupant's head. Do not use a cushion that moves the body away from the seatback.
Forward and Rearward Adjustment
The head restraint can be adjusted forward to 3 different positions by pulling it forward to the desired stop. To adjust the head restraint as far back as possible, pull it fully forward to the most extended position and then release it.

Height Adjustment
To raise the head restraint, pull it up to the desired position (1). To lower it, press and hold the release button (2) on the head restraint support and lower the head restraint to the desired position (3).

Removal/Installation
To remove the head restraint, raise it to the maximum height, press the release button (1) and pull the head restraint up (2).
To reinstall the head restraint, insert its posts (3) into the holes while pressing the release button (1). Then adjust it to the appropriate height.
WARNING Make sure the head restraint locks in place after adjusting it so that it provides adequate protection.
