Power Window Lock Switch

~1min read

The driver can disable the rear passenger door window switches by pressing the lock switch.

When the lock switch is active:

  • The driver's master control can operate the power windows.
  • The front passenger can operate the passenger's window.
  • Rear passengers cannot operate the rear windows.

NOTICE

  • Opening or closing two windows at the same time may damage the power window system. It will also reduce the life of the fuse.
  • Never operate the master switch on the driver's door and another window switch in two opposite directions at the same time. If this happens, the window may lock and cannot be opened or closed.

WARNING

Windows

  • NEVER leave the key in the vehicle with children unattended while the engine is running.
  • NEVER leave a child unattended in the vehicle. Even very young children may accidentally move the vehicle, become trapped by the windows, injure themselves, or get into other situations.
  • Before raising a window, make sure that no body part (arms, hands, head) or anything else could be caught.
  • Do not allow children to play with the power windows. Keep the driver's window lock switch in the LOCK (pressed) position. A child who accidentally operates a window may cause serious injury.
  • Do not put your face, neck, arms or body outside the vehicle through the window while the vehicle is moving.
