Using the Jack
The jack is intended for emergency tire changes only.
To prevent the jack from rattling while the vehicle is in motion, store them properly.
Follow the jack operating instructions to reduce the risk of personal injury.
WARNING
Tire Replacement
- Never change a tire on a public road or highway.
- Always move the vehicle completely off the road onto the shoulder before attempting to replace a tire. Use the jack only on firm, level ground. If you cannot find a stable, level place off the road, call a towing service for assistance.
- Always use the correct jacking points, front and rear. Never use the bumpers or any other part of the vehicle as a jacking point.
- The vehicle can easily slip off the jack and cause serious injury or death. Never position any part of your body under a vehicle supported only by a jack; use proper vehicle supports.
- Do not start or run the engine while the vehicle is supported by the jack.
- Never leave anyone inside the vehicle while it is supported by a jack.
- Make sure children are in a safe place away from the road and the vehicle you are lifting with the jack.
