Security Alarm Status [Status B/A]
Alarm Status Description
DISARM
  1. In the "DISARMED" state, the vehicle immobilizer is inactive. When the door, hood, or trunk lid is open, the alarm is off or flashing.
  2. If the battery is disconnected when the state is not "ARM/STANDBY/ALARM/RESET", the alarm status is set to "DISARM".
WAIT
  1. In the "ALARM STANDBY" state, when the 30 s timer is running, if this timer reaches 30 s, the status changes to "ARM".
  2. If the battery is disconnected when the status is "ARM STANDBY", the alarm status is set to "ARM STANDBY" and the "30 s" timer is restarted.

※ Note: With the Smart Key system, passive locking operates in the same way.
Alarm Status Description
AUTO LOCK TIMER 1
  1. The "30 second" timer runs in the "AUTO LOCK TIMER 1" state. If this timer expires, the automatic lock command "Lock Instruction" is generated.
  2. When the lock instruction is executed and all doors are closed and locked, the alarm status changes from AUTO LOCK TIMER 1 to ARM STANDBY.
  3. In the AUTO LOCK TIMER 1 state, the indicator flashes. The "30 second" timer runs in the "AUTO LOCK TIMER 1" status. If this timer expires, the automatic lock instruction "Lock Instruction" is generated. When the lock instruction is in progress and all doors are closed and locked, the alarm status changes from AUTO LOCK TIMER 1 to ARM STANDBY.

※ Note: With the Smart Key system, passive unlocking operates in the same way.
Alarm Status Description
Auto Lock Timer 2
  1. In the AUTO LOCK TIMER 2 state, when the 30 second timer is running, if the timer expires, the automatic lock instruction is generated.
  2. When all doors are locked, the hood is closed and the trunk lid is closed while the "lock instruction" is running, the alarm status changes to AUTO LOCK TIMER 2 during the "lock operation" generated when the hood is opened.
  3. When the unlock instruction is executed and all doors are closed and the hood is open, the alarm status changes to "AUTO LOCK TIMER 2".

※ Note: With the Smart Key system, passive unlocking operates in the same way.
Alarm Status Description
Pre-Arm
  1. The "PREARM" state is used when the user attempts to arm the system but the preconditions are not met (door open, trunk lid open, or hood open).
  2. The alarm status changes to "PREARM" when the TX lock command occurs while a door, the hood, or the trunk lid is open.
  3. The alarm status changes to "PREARM" when the 30 s timer expires in "AUTO LOCK TIMER 2" with the hood or trunk lid open.
  4. The "ARM" state changes to "ARM" when all doors are closed and locked, and the hood and trunk lid are closed.
  5. The "PREARM" state changes to "DISARM" when the door is unlocked.

Alarm Status Description
RESET
  1. In the "RESET" state, when an intrusion is detected, the siren sounds and the indicator flashes, and the status changes to "ALARM".
  2. The alarm status changes to "RESET" when the timer expires. The 27 s timer in the "ALARM" state runs when the doors are closed and locked.

Alarm Status Description
Auto Lock Timer 3
  1. The alarm status changes to "AUTO LOCK TIMER 3" when the rear door TX instruction is executed.
  2. The alarm status changes from "AUTO LOCK TIMER 3" to "ARM STANDBY" when the 30 second timer expires with all doors closed and locked.
  3. The alarm status changes from AUTO LOCK TIMER 3 to "DISARM" when a door is opened.
  4. The "30 second" timer runs in the "AUTO LOCK TIMER 3" state. If this timer expires, the state changes to "PREARM" when the trunk lid is open.

Alarm Status Description
ARM HOLD
(Alarm Hold: Trunk)
※ No PTL option
  1. The ARM HOLD mode is similar to the alarm hold mode for the trunk on current vehicles.
  2. If the trunk is opened with a remote transmitter (including the Smart Key) in the armed mode, the standby state is activated, in which the anti-theft alarm is maintained for a period of time.
  3. While the trunk is open, the ARM HOLD mode is maintained.
  4. When the trunk is closed, a 30 second timer starts. When ARM HOLD is activated for 30 seconds, the anti-theft alarm does not trigger even if the trunk is open.
  5. The ARM mode is activated 30 seconds after the trunk is closed.
  6. Even in ARM HOLD mode, the door and hood are in ARM mode. Normally they sound the alarm when theft occurs.
  7. The security indicator continues to flash during the ARM HOLD period.

※ Note 1: ARM HOLD is a function that keeps the ARM mode active on the bus. It maintains the ARM mode for the door and hood. ※ Note 2: When the ignition key is used to open the trunk, the ARM HOLD function operates in the same way, provided that the "Key Door Anti-Theft Alarm" function is enabled. If disabled, ARM HOLD is disabled and using the key to open the trunk is considered theft and triggers the alarm.
Alarm Status Description
RESET
(ARM mode activated again)
  1. If the door, hood and trunk lid are closed after the alarm stops, this means the ARM mode is activated again.
  2. In this case, the drive state (gate lock/unlock) is ignored and ARM mode is maintained until a remote control signal is received (normal arming mode).
  3. In this mode, the security indicator continues to flash.
Re-close
  1. When the battery is removed in ALARM or RE-ARM mode, the RESET mode is activated.
  2. When the battery is reconnected after a RESET, the theft alarm system summarizes (instead of staying in the exit state, 27 seconds ON / 10 seconds OFF, exit three times).

Other Security Alarm System Control Functions
Item Description
Deactivation: 30 seconds KEY ON
(without smart key option)
  1. For vehicles without a smart key, holding the ignition key in the ALARM position for 30 seconds deactivates the theft alarm state.
  2. Even before the 30 seconds have elapsed, if the engine is running (at the generator voltage terminal "L" - HI: signal sent from the instrument cluster module via CAN data), the anti-theft alarm is deactivated immediately (no starting control: the immobilizer system is applied and engine starting with the immobilizer key is allowed during the alarm). ※ On vehicles with a smart key, the alarm is deactivated immediately after smart key authentication.
When ARM mode is on, opening the trunk and unlocking the central locking are not permitted.
  1. While the remote transmitter or smart key is used to lock all doors and the ARM WAIT indicator is illuminated, the central door lock unlock switch, the trunk open button inside the vehicle, and the DDM and SMA (driver and passenger power window switches) are deactivated. (Theft prevention) ※ This function works the same in ARM WAIT, ARM, ALARM and REARM modes.
