The rear window defroster heats the rear window to remove frost, fog and a thin layer of ice from the rear window while the engine is running.

To activate the rear window defroster, press the rear window defroster button located on the climate control panel. The rear window defroster button indicator light illuminates when the defroster is turned on.

To turn off the rear window defroster, press the rear window defroster button again.

Intelligent

• If heavy snow has accumulated on the rear window, remove it with a brush before turning on the rear window defroster.
• The rear window defroster turns off automatically after approximately 20 minutes or when the ignition is turned off.

Outside Mirror Defrost

If your vehicle is equipped with heated outside mirrors, they will also operate when you activate the rear window defroster.
