Manual Transmission Oil Repair Procedures

Inspection

   Stop the engine and raise the vehicle with a jack.

   Loosen the oil filler cap (A).

   Check the oil level.

   Install the filler cap.

   Tightening torque: 58.9 ~ 78 N·m

REPLACEMENT

1. 1
   Stop the engine and raise the vehicle with a jack.
2. 2
   Drain the manual transmission oil after loosening the drain plug (A).

   Install the drain plug with a new gasket.

   Tightening torque: 58.9 ~ 78 N·m

   Pour in new oil through the filler hole and continue filling until oil starts to flow out of the level plug hole. Oil specification: API Service GL-4, SAE 70W (SHELL: SPIRAX S6 GHME 70W, SK: HK MTF 70W, GS CALTEX: GS MTF HD 70W). Oil capacity: 1.8 ~ 1.9 L (0.46 ~ 0.50 U.S. gal., 1.90 ~ 2.0 U.S. qt, 1.58 ~ 1.67 Imp. qt)
