Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge

~1min read

Type

Type B

This gauge shows the engine coolant temperature when the ignition switch is in the ON position.

NOTICE

If the gauge needle moves outside the normal range and approaches the "130" zone, the engine is overheating and at risk of failure.

If the engine overheats, stop the vehicle. Refer to "Engine Overheating" in chapter 6.

WARNING

Never remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. The coolant is under pressure and may cause severe burns. Wait for the engine to cool before adding coolant to the reservoir.
