The fuel filler door can be opened from inside the vehicle by pressing the fuel door release button located on the driver's door.

1. Stop the engine.

2. Pull up the fuel filler door opener.

3. Pull the fuel filler door (1) toward you to fully open it.

4. To remove the fuel cap (2), turn it counterclockwise. You will hear a hissing sound as the pressure inside the tank equalizes.

5. Place the cap on the fuel filler door.

Intelligent

If the fuel filler door does not open due to ice formation, gently tap or press on the door to break the ice, then open the door. Do not force the door. If necessary, spray an approved de-icer around the door (do not use radiator antifreeze) or move the vehicle to a warmer place and allow the ice to melt.
