Towing Services

If emergency towing is necessary, we recommend contacting an authorized HYUNDAI dealer or a commercial towing service.
Proper lifting and towing procedures are necessary to avoid damage to the vehicle. The use of wheel dollies or a flatbed trailer is recommended.
For information on towing trailers, see "Towing a Trailer" in Chapter 5.
It is permissible to tow the vehicle with the rear wheels on the ground (without a dolly) and with the ignition off.
If one of the wheels or one of the load-bearing suspension components is damaged, or if the vehicle is towed with the front wheels on the ground, use a dolly under the front wheels.
When towing with a commercial tow truck without wheel dollies, always lift the front of the vehicle, not the rear.

NOTICE
- Do not tow the vehicle in reverse if the front wheels are on the ground, as this may damage the vehicle.
- Do not tow the vehicle with a rope or chain. Use a wheel lift or flatbed.
When towing the vehicle in an emergency without wheel dollies:
1. Turn the ignition key to the ACC position.
2. Shift the gear shift lever to the N (Neutral) position.
3. Release the parking brake.
NOTICE
If you do not place the shift lever in N (Neutral), internal damage to the transmission may result.
