If towing is required, we recommend contacting an authorized HYUNDAI dealer or a commercial towing service.

Rear
If a towing service is not available in an emergency, your vehicle can be temporarily towed using a rope or chain securely attached to the emergency towing hook located under the front of the vehicle.
Exercise extreme caution when towing the vehicle. The driver must remain in the vehicle to steer and brake.
This towing method is only possible on paved roads for a short distance and at low speed.
- The wheels, axles, transmission, steering and brakes must also be in good condition.
- Do not use the towing hooks to pull the vehicle out of a ditch, mud, or in other situations where it cannot be recovered by its own power alone.
- Avoid towing a vehicle that is heavier than the towing vehicle.
- The drivers of both vehicles should communicate with each other frequently.
NOTICE
- Attach the towing strap to the towing hook.
- Using any part of your vehicle other than the towing hooks may damage the vehicle body.
- Use only a rope or chain specifically designed for towing vehicles. Securely attach the cable or chain to the towing hook.
- Before emergency towing, make sure the hook is not broken or damaged.
- Securely attach the chain or towing rope to the hook.
- Do not jerk the hook. Apply steady and even force.
- To avoid damaging the hook, do not pull it at a sideways or vertical angle. Always pull straight.
WARNING
Exercise extreme caution when towing the vehicle.
- Avoid sudden starts or sharp maneuvers that place excessive tension on the emergency towing hook, towing rope or chain. The hook, rope or towing chain may break and cause serious damage or injury.
- If the vehicle immobilized due to damage cannot be moved, stop towing. Contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer or a commercial roadside assistance service for help.
- Tow the vehicle as straight as possible.
- Keep away from the vehicle during towing.

- Use a towing rope less than 5 m (16 ft) long. Tie red or white cloth (approximately 30 cm (12 in) wide) to the middle of the strap so it is clearly visible.
- Drive carefully so that the towing strap does not come loose during towing.
