Child Restraint System (CRS)
Our recommendation: Children always in the rear
WARNING
Always properly restrain children in the vehicle. Children of all ages are safer when riding in the rear seat. Never place a child restraint system on the front passenger seat unless the passenger airbag is turned off.
Children under 13 years old should always ride in the rear seats and must always be properly restrained to minimize the risk of injury in a collision, sudden stop, or sudden maneuver.
According to accident statistics, children are safer when properly secured in the rear seats than in the front seat. Children who are too big for a child restraint system must use the seat belts provided.
In most countries there are laws requiring that children travel in certified child restraint systems.
Laws governing the age or height/weight limits at which seat belts may be used instead of a child restraint system differ between countries, so you should be aware of the specific requirements in your country and in the country you are travelling to.
Child restraint systems must be installed correctly on the vehicle seat. Always use a commercially available child restraint system that meets the requirements of your country.
Child Restraint System (CRS)
Infants and small children must be restrained in an appropriate rear-facing or forward-facing child restraint system (CRS) that has first been correctly secured to the vehicle seat. Read and follow the installation and usage instructions provided by the child restraint system manufacturer.
WARNING
- Always follow the child restraint system manufacturer's installation and use instructions.
- Always properly restrain the child in the child restraint system.
- Do not use a child carrier or child seat that hooks over the top of the seatback, as it may not provide adequate protection in a crash.
- After an accident, it is recommended that an authorized HYUNDAI dealer inspect the child restraint system, seat belts, ISOFIX anchorages and top tether anchorage.
