Airbag — Supplemental Restraint System

1. Driver's front airbag
2. Passenger's front airbag
3. Side airbag*
4. Curtain airbag*
5. Knee airbag*
6. Passenger front airbag ON/OFF switch
The vehicle is equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) airbag for the driver's seat and front passenger's seat.
The front airbags are designed to supplement the three-point seat belts. For these airbags to provide protection, seat belts must be worn at all times while driving.
You can be seriously injured or killed in an accident if you do not wear a seat belt. Airbags are designed to supplement seat belts, not replace them. Also, airbags are not designed to deploy in every collision. In some accidents, seat belts are the only restraint protecting you.
WARNING
SRS AIRBAG PRECAUTIONS
ALWAYS wear your seat belt. Use child restraint systems on every trip, every time! Even with airbags, you can be seriously injured or killed in a collision if you are improperly restrained or not wearing your seat belt when an airbag inflates.
NEVER place a child restraint system or booster seat in the front passenger's seat unless the passenger airbag is turned off.
An inflating airbag can strike an infant or child with great force, resulting in serious or fatal injury.
ABC - Always secure children under 13 years old in the rear seat. The rear seat is the safest place for children of any age. If a child aged 13 or older must sit in the front seat, he or she must be properly restrained and the seat must be moved as far back as possible.
All occupants should sit upright with the seatback in the upright position, in the center of the seat cushion with the seat belt fastened, feet comfortably extended and feet on the floor, until the vehicle is parked and the engine is turned off. If an occupant is out of position during a crash, the rapidly deploying airbag can strike the occupant with force, causing serious or fatal injury.
You and your passengers should never sit or lean unnecessarily close to the airbags, or lean against the door or center console.
Move the seat as far back as possible from the front airbags while still maintaining control of the vehicle.
