Tow/Haul
Towing Services

If emergency towing is necessary, we recommend that an authorized HYUNDAI service center or a commercial towing service perform it.
Proper lifting and towing procedures are necessary to prevent damage to the vehicle. The use of wheel dollies or a flatbed is recommended.
The vehicle may be towed with the rear wheels on the ground (without dollies) and the front wheels off the ground.
If any of the loaded wheels or suspension components are damaged, or if the vehicle is towed with the front wheels on the ground, use a towing dolly under the front wheels.
When towing with a commercial towing service and wheel dollies are not used, the front of the vehicle must always be raised, not the rear.
CAUTION
• Do not tow the vehicle with the front wheels on the ground, as this may cause damage to the vehicle.
• Do not tow the vehicle using slings. Use a wheel lift or flatbed equipment.
WARNING
If your vehicle is equipped with a rollover sensor, turn the ignition switch to the LOCK/OFF or ACC position when the vehicle is being towed. The side airbags and curtain airbags may deploy if the sensor detects the situation as a rollover.
When towing the vehicle in an emergency without wheel dollies:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position.
2. Shift the gear shift lever to the N (Neutral) position.
3. Release the parking brake.
CAUTION
Failure to shift the transmission lever to N (Neutral) may cause internal transmission damage.
