CAUTION

Remove the speed limit label (1) from the sealant bottle (2) and place it in a visible location inside the vehicle, such as on the steering wheel, to remind the driver not to drive too fast.

1. Shake the sealant bottle (2).

2. Connect the sealant hose (3) to the sealant bottle (2) in direction (A), and connect the sealant bottle to the compressor (6) in direction (B).

3. Make sure the compressor is turned off.

4. Unscrew the valve cap from the valve of the flat tire, and screw the sealant hose (3) from the sealant bottle onto the valve.

CAUTION

Securely install the sealant fill hose on the valve. If not, sealant may flow back, or the hose filler may become clogged.

5. Connect the compressor power cable (4) to the vehicle power outlet.

NOTICE

Use only the front passenger seat power outlet when connecting the power cable.

6. With the ignition switch in the ON position, turn on the compressor and let it run for approximately 5 to 7 minutes to inflate the tire to the proper pressure (refer to "Tires and Wheels", Chapter 8). The tire pressure after inflation is not important and will be checked/corrected later.

Be careful not to overinflate the tire, and stay away from the tire while inflating it.

CAUTION

Tire Pressure

Do not attempt to drive the vehicle if tire pressure is below 200 kPa (29 psi). This may cause an accident due to sudden tire failure.

7. Turn off the compressor.

8. Disconnect the hoses from the sealant bottle connector and from the tire valve.

Return the Tire Mobility Kit to its storage location in the vehicle.

WARNING

Carbon Monoxide

Do not leave the vehicle running in a poorly ventilated area for extended periods. Carbon monoxide poisoning and suffocation may occur.

Distributing the Sealant

9. Immediately drive approximately 7 to 10 km (4 to 6 miles, or about 10 minutes) to distribute the sealant evenly inside the tire.

Do not exceed a speed of 80 km/h. If possible, do not drop below a speed of 20 km/h.

While driving, if you experience any unusual vibration, handling problems, or noise, reduce speed and drive carefully until you can safely pull off the road.

Call roadside assistance or a towing service.
