Inspect or replace the hybrid starter generator (HSG) belt according to the Maintenance Schedule in this chapter by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

CAUTION

When the HSG belt is worn or damaged, replace it.

Otherwise, the engine may overheat or the battery may discharge.

WARNING

  • Turn off the vehicle while inspecting the engine or hybrid starter generator (HSG) belt. Otherwise, serious injury may result.
  • Keep hands, clothing, etc. away from the hybrid starter generator (HSG) belt.
