Cleaning Upholstery and Interior Trim
Vinyl (if equipped)
Remove dust and loose dirt from vinyl with a brush or vacuum cleaner. Clean vinyl surfaces with a vinyl cleaner.
Fabric (if equipped)
Remove dust and loose dirt from fabric with a brush or vacuum cleaner. Clean with a mild soap solution recommended for upholstery or carpets. Remove fresh stains immediately with a fabric stain remover. If fresh stains are not treated immediately, the fabric may become permanently stained and its color may change. In addition, its flame-retardant properties may be reduced if the material is not properly maintained.
NOTICE
Using any cleaning agents or procedures other than those recommended may affect the appearance, color, and flame-retardant properties of the fabric.
Leather (if equipped)
• Leather Seat Features
- Leather is made from the outer hide of an animal that undergoes a special treatment process to make it usable. Because it is a natural product, each piece varies in thickness or density. Wrinkles may appear as a natural result of stretching and shrinkage depending on temperature and humidity.
- The seat is made of an elastic fabric to improve comfort.
- The parts that contact the body are contoured, and the side support is high to provide comfort and stability while driving.
- Wrinkles may appear naturally as a result of use. This is not a product defect.
NOTICE
- Wrinkles or wear that appear naturally through use are not covered by the warranty.
- Belts with metal accessories, zippers, or keys in rear pockets may damage the seat fabric.
- Be careful not to wet the seat. This may change the nature of natural leather.
- Jeans or clothing with dyes that may bleed can stain the seat upholstery fabric.
• Leather Seat Care
- Vacuum the seat periodically to remove dust and sand from the seat. This will prevent abrasion or damage to the leather and preserve its quality.
- Frequently wipe natural leather seat covers with a dry or soft cloth.
- Using a proper leather protectant can prevent abrasion of the coating and help maintain the color. Be sure to read the instructions and consult a specialist when using a leather coating or protective agent.
- Light-colored (beige, cream-beige) leather is easily soiled and stains are noticeable. Clean the seats often.
- Avoid wiping with a wet cloth. This may cause the surface to crack.
• Cleaning Leather Seats
- Remove all stains immediately. See the instructions below for removing each type of stain.
- Cosmetics (sunscreen, foundation, etc.)
Apply cleansing cream to a cloth and wipe the stained area. Wipe off the cream with a damp cloth and remove moisture with a dry cloth.
- Beverages (coffee, soft drinks, etc.)
Apply a small amount of neutral detergent and wipe until the stain stops spreading.
- Oil
Immediately remove oil with an absorbent cloth and wipe with a stain remover designed only for natural leather.
- Chewing gum
Harden the chewing gum with ice and gradually remove it.
