WARNING

To reduce the risk of accidental airbag deployment and serious injury or death:

  • Do not strike or allow any objects to contact the areas where the airbags or sensors are installed.
  • Do not perform maintenance on or around the airbag sensors. If the location or angle of the sensors is changed, the airbags may deploy when they should not, or fail to deploy when they should.
  • Do not install bumper guards or replace the bumper with a non-genuine part. This may adversely affect collision performance and airbag deployment.
  • Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK/OFF or ACC position when the vehicle is being towed to prevent accidental airbag deployment.
  • HYUNDAI recommends that all airbag system repairs be performed by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
