Lap/Shoulder Belt
To fasten the seat belt:

Pull it out of the retractor and insert the metal tongue (1) into the buckle (2). A click will be heard when the tongue latches into the buckle.
The seat belt automatically adjusts to the required length after the lap belt portion is manually adjusted to fit snugly across the hips. If you lean forward slowly and gently, the belt will extend and move with you. In the event of a sudden stop or impact, the belt will lock in position. It will also lock if you attempt to lean forward too quickly.
NOTICE
If you cannot smoothly pull out enough seat belt from the retractor, pull the seat belt firmly and release it. After releasing, you will be able to pull the belt smoothly.

WARNING
Improperly worn seat belts may increase the risk of serious injury in an accident. When adjusting the seat belt, observe the following precautions:
- Position the lap portion of the seat belt as low as possible across the hips, not across the waist, so that it fits snugly. This allows the strong pelvic bones to absorb the impact force, reducing the likelihood of internal injury.
- Place one hand under the shoulder belt and the other hand above the belt, as shown in the illustration.
- Always set the shoulder belt anchor in the locked position at the appropriate height.
- Never route the shoulder belt across your neck or face.
Height Adjustment
You can adjust the shoulder belt anchor height to one of four different positions for maximum comfort and safety.
The shoulder belt should be adjusted so that it lies across the middle of the chest and shoulder, closest to the door, not across the neck.

To adjust the height of the seat belt anchor, lower or raise the height adjuster to the appropriate position.
To raise the height adjuster, pull it up (1). To lower it, press the height adjustment button (2) and push it down (3).
Release the button to lock the anchor in the desired position. Try moving the height adjuster to make sure it is locked in that position.
To unfasten the seat belt:

Press the release button (1) on the buckle.
When released, the belt should automatically retract into the retractor. If it does not, check the belt to make sure it is not twisted, then try again.
