When cornering, for improved visibility and safety, either the left or right side Cornering Light Assist system automatically activates the static light. The Assist-Static indicator illuminates when one of the following conditions is met.

  • The vehicle speed is below 10 km/h and the steering wheel is turned approximately 80 degrees with the headlight low beam on.
  • The vehicle speed is between 10 km/h and 90 km/h and the steering wheel is turned approximately 35 degrees with the headlight low beam on.
  • When the vehicle is driven in reverse under one of the above conditions, the light opposite to the steering wheel direction will illuminate.
