WARNING
Do not use the windshield heater
or
position during cooling operation in very humid weather. The difference between the outside air temperature and the windshield may cause the outer surface of the windshield to fog up, resulting in loss of visibility. In this case, set the mode selection knob or button to the
position and reduce the fan speed using the fan speed control knob or button.
- For maximum windshield defrosting, set the temperature control knob to the maximum temperature setting and the fan speed control knob to the highest fan speed. Select the front defrost button on the climate control display. After the engine warms up, warm air will be directed to the windshield.
- If warm air to the floor is required during defrosting or defogging, set the mode to the floor defrost position.
- Before driving, clear snow and ice from the windshield, rear window, outside rearview mirrors, and all side windows.
- Clear all snow and ice from the hood and the air intake in the hood grille to improve heater and defroster efficiency and reduce the likelihood of fogging on the inside of the windshield.
Information
If the engine temperature is still low after starting, it may take a short warm-up period before the ventilation airflow becomes warm or hot.
