In this manual: Your Vehicle's Safety System
~1min read
Always fasten your seat belt before starting any trip. At all times, passengers must sit upright and be properly restrained. Infants and small children must be secured in appropriate child restraint systems. Children who have outgrown a booster seat and adults must use seat belts.
WARNING
When adjusting the seat belt, observe the following precautions:
- NEVER use one seat belt for more than one occupant.
- Always position the seatback upright so that the lap portion of the belt fits snugly and low on the hips.
- NEVER allow children or small infants to ride on a passenger's lap.
- Do not put the seat belt behind your neck, across sharp edges, or route the shoulder belt away from your body.
- Do not allow the seat belt to become pinched or trapped.
