Smart Key Precautions

~1min read

The Smart Key may not operate in the following cases:

  • The smart key is located near a radio transmitter, such as a radio station or airport, which may interfere with normal operation of the transmitter.
  • The Smart Key is near a two-way mobile radio system or cellular phone.
  • A smart key of another vehicle is being used near your vehicle.

If the smart key does not operate properly, open and close the door with the mechanical key. If you experience a problem with the smart key, it is recommended that you contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

If the smart key is located in close proximity to your mobile phone, the signal may be blocked by normal operating signals from your mobile phone. This is especially relevant when the phone is active, for example, when making and receiving calls, exchanging text messages, and/or sending/receiving e-mails.

Do not place the smart key and mobile phone in the same location, and always keep a sufficient distance between the two devices.
