Passengers must not exit or change seats while the vehicle is moving. A passenger who is not wearing a seat belt during a collision or emergency stop may be thrown inside the vehicle against other occupants or be ejected from the vehicle.

Do not use accessories on seat belts. Devices intended to improve passenger comfort or change the position of the seat belt may reduce the protection provided by the seat belt and increase the likelihood of serious injury in a crash.

Do not modify the front seats. Modifying the front seats may interfere with the operation of the airbag sensor and detection components or the side airbags.

Do not place objects under the front seats. Placing objects under the front seats may interfere with the operation of the SRS sensitive components and wiring harnesses.

Do not strike the doors. Striking the doors while the engine Start/Stop button is in the ON position may cause the airbags to deploy.

Modifications for disabled persons. If you require a modification to your vehicle for disability accommodation, contact the HYUNDAI Customer Service Center at 800-633-5151.

Adding equipment or modifying your vehicle with airbags

If you modify your vehicle by changing the vehicle frame, bumper system, front end or side sheet metal, or ground clearance, this may affect the operation of the vehicle's airbag system.
