Description
- System Operation
The HUD system displays various information on the windshield, which minimizes the driver's eye movement, improving safety and convenience. The projection display shows TFT LCD images on two mirrors (flat/concave) and projects them at a distance of 2.32 m from the driver's eyes. Information is provided by the HUD:
- Vehicle Speed
- Integrated (DIS) information: TBT (Turn by Turn) navigation information, road signs
- Safety warning lamp: SCC, LKAS, LFW, blind-spot warning
- HUD display contents

- HUD unit (projection display): vehicle system information is output to the combiner via CAN communication.

- Cluster

- Ambient light sensor: a bidirectional (horizontal, vertical) measuring sensor is used, and HUD brightness is adjusted by the horizontal measurement.
- A bi-directional ambient light sensor is applied.

If the ambient light sensor measurement is not recognized, the HUD does not operate. Make sure the sensor is operating before inspecting the HUD.
