Repair Procedures

Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the door trim. (Refer to Body - "Front Door Trim")
  3. Disconnect the power outside rear view mirror connector (A) from the wiring harness.

  4. Apply battery voltage to each terminal as shown in the table, and check that the mirror operates normally. [Actuator]

Removal

  1. Disconnect the (-) battery terminal.
  2. Using a clip remover (C), remove the mirror (A) as shown in the illustration below.

    • Protect the mirror from the removal tool by wrapping it with cloth (B).
    • Be careful not to damage the mirror and mirror housing during the removal process.
    • Apply force around the center of the mirror, because applying force to the end of the mirror will break it.
  3. Disconnect the heater wire connectors (A) and remove the mirror.

Installation

  1. Install the mirror after connecting the mirror connectors.
  2. Connect the (-) battery terminal, then check that the mirror operates normally.
