Adjustment

  1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and check that the body and luggage compartment lid are properly aligned.
  2. Loosen the tailgate hinge mounting bolt (A), then adjust the tailgate by moving it up and down or side to side.
  3. Adjust the gap between the tailgate and the body by turning the tailgate bumpers (B).
  4. After loosening the rear door striker mounting bolts (C), adjust the striker by moving it forward and backward or side to side, then tighten the mounting bolts.
  5. Check that the liftgate opens and closes properly.
