Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the front door trim panel. (Refer to Body - "Front Door Trim")
  3. Remove the outside rear view mirror cover (A).

  4. Disconnect the mirror connector (A).

  5. Loosen the mounting nut and remove the outside rear view mirror.

  6. Using a clip remover (C), remove the mirror (A) as shown in the illustration below.

    • Protect the mirror from the removal tool by wrapping it with cloth (B).
    • Be careful not to damage the mirror and mirror housing during the removal process.
    • Apply force around the center of the mirror, because applying force to the end of the mirror will break it.
  7. Disconnect the heater wire connectors (A) and remove the mirror.

Installation

  1. Install the outside mirror.
  2. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Inspection

  1. Disconnect the power outside mirror connector from the wiring harness.
