Rear Window Defroster

The defroster heats the rear window to remove frost, fog, or a thin film of ice that may form on the inside or outside of the glass while the engine is running.

• To activate the rear window defroster, press the button located in the center of the instrument panel. The rear window defroster button indicator illuminates when the defroster is on.
• To turn off the defroster manually, press the button again.

Information

• If heavy snow has accumulated on the rear window, remove it before turning on the defroster.
• The rear window defroster turns off automatically after approximately 20 minutes of operation or when the ENGINE START/STOP button is set to OFF.

Outside Rearview Mirror Heater (if equipped)

If your vehicle is equipped with outside mirror heaters, they operate at the same time as the rear window defroster.

Windshield Wiper De-icer (if equipped)

If your vehicle is equipped with a windshield wiper de-icer, it operates at the same time as the rear window defroster.
